Details are: IF con Ver. So your player is fine and does not stutter and plays CD enhanced? Also is it multi region? Yes, works fine. No problems playing CD Xtra discs. No stuttering playing DVD's either. It is region 2 only. Had the firmware upgrade since PeteM Active Member. If you simply want the firmware upgrade and don't care about multiregion and disabling macrovision, then this was available from Sony free of charge, so you might want to talk to them.

Don't forget that the went out of production a long time ago! Any thought????? I have afeeling you will be pushed down the latter! But whats a little confussing is that, Ive seen people selling this model on ebay, stating they have upgraded the firmware? So where they getting it from? It doesn't matter though, all it means is that you panel is upscaling rather than the player tbh very little if any difference at this level.

I'm not really sure, because I am tempted to run this American firmware on the player, then if it makes it R1 only then all I have to do is surely apply a hack to make it multi region again?
