Gammon said:. My trigger isn't bad so to speak. I wouldn't mind taking down the double action pull a little, but my trigger is really nice otherwise, besides the long reset. Any pointers you feel comfortable sharing? I have a gunsmithing video for the p where he breaks it all the way down and recommends parts for polishing, but being a sig armorer I don't know if you have any specific.

I have no reservations about tearing this thing apart, Id just like to take care of it all at once. Did 50 bucks seem like a fair price? I'm in no rush to jump on this thing.

Mike Sent from my MB using Tapatalk. I may take you up on that depending on when I end up ordering the kit. As I said, I feel comfortable doing it myself, but if you're willing to show me a couple things I won't turn that down either.

It's my carry gun, but also my favorite to shoot pending taking the new to the range so I wouldn't mind cleaning it up a bit, but I don't want to do anything to compromise reliability and safety. They are the exact same part. All "classic" Sigs use the same one. Maybe you had one with a burr or something on it. That's one of the parts that I usually polish. You are mistaken, sir! SIG has several firing pin safety levers with different dimensions.

I chose the lever with the thinnest leg which releases the trigger bar sooner and eliminates most of the take up. Last edited: Apr 20, Looks like the and kit is the same? And I assume this fits the ?

We cannot control the tolerances of mass produced firearms, therefore we highly suggest that if you run into a tolerance issue to contact us at tech gallowayprecision. We also offer installation of all triggers, trigger kits, and parts that we make for a nominal fee.

We go over the installation of our new Onyx Short Stroke Trigger. I am hoping to get some running on our cnc mills sometime this quarter.

No real special tools required. Almost anyone handy with their hands can perform this upgrade without taking the gun to a gunsmith and paying to have it done.

Although the disclaimer is your factory warranty is voided if you don't have a qualified Sig Armory person do the kit replacement. It really didn't bother me any and I will just put the old parts back in if I should ever have a warranty issue where I would need to send the gun back to the factory. This upgrade was well worth the money and time. Read full review. Verified purchase: Yes Condition: Pre-owned. Work as intended, good short reset.

But the single action pull is gritty and heavy, far worse than the standard setup that came with my German frame P I will not get this for my German made P, it has great single action pull and all of the ranges near me won't allow rapid firing to benefit from the short reset setup. Verified purchase: Yes Condition: New. I'm not sure what the difference is between Sig's SRT kit and Armory Craft's or Gray Gun's but I'd be hard pressed to think how it could be almost 2x as good considering those other guys' kits are almost 2x the price.

The standard reset isn't long necessarily but it'll sort of "kick" the trigger forward and will force you to take up quite a bit of slack before the you hit the wall. Whereas with the SRT, if you let the trigger out all the way after your shot, there is still take-up however if you play only the reset, there is no forced take up only the wall.
