It doesn't take up more than mb. In services. MCE comes in 2 cds. Most companies charge 30 dollars plus shipping and handling. If you have an XP key, it won't ask for the 2nd cd to install. I had already untick all boxes in "general setting" of WMC but it is still on my computer. Seems this is big problem with almost all users of WMC.

Can please someone help me on this problem? Susendeep D See the below article which discusses uninstalling and removing Windows Media center -.

On the left-hand side of the window should be "Turn features on or off". Click on it, and in the list, find and click on the "plus" sign next to Media Features to expand all of the listed features.

Second, a lot of software and their system requirements were written before Media Center was released and never updated to include the media center. I have a lot of software installed on my PC including audio and video and the Media Center which on XP and now Vista does not interfere or even interface at all with any of those programs. We also occasionally see a post similar to yours because a software application does not specifically state it will work with Media Center edition but the outcome on all that report back is that the program loaded and worked OK even tho it was a Media Center edition.

If it cannot be done, I will have to purchase a new workstation and dedicate it to this function. If all you have to offer are the kinds of messages you have posted here, I would rather you not respond.

Message Edited by citychik on PM. But, I did a google search and found out that you will apparently have to do a complete new install with a Windows XP Pro or Home which ever version you need CD. This means you will have to purchase a Retail copy of XP.
